Overview
This page summarizes information about electrification options for Ventana del Mar Homeowners.
There are no mandatory deadlines to electrify your appliances. However, upcoming regional and state requirements might prohibit replacing gas water heaters one-for-one, creating significant challenges given our hydronic heating system and limited installation space. For this reason, the Association has been working to identify solutions for owners and the below materials share what we’ve learned.
August 11, 2026 Town Hall
We had a town hall on August 11, 2026. Alistair Adams and Sean Armstrong of Redwood Energy helped lay out pathways for owners to electrify their appliances.

We are looking for volunteers to allow our HVAC consultants to study their unit in late September/early October. One unit per floor plan type will selected (along with two backups). All owners will benefit from the study results.
